The purpose of the analysis: to show the potential of key queries, the dynamics of organic traffic, to identify leaders, to determine the seasonality and capacity of the market.
The ranking includes sites from Google search engine that offer services in the field of microcredit in Moldova.
Local banks, which are also present in this segment but do not belong to the category of microfinance organizations, were excluded from the analysis.

*Methodology and assumptions. For evaluation we use Ahrefs analytics service – one of the most accurate tools on the market. However, its Organic Traffic metric is a model assessment based on positions and clickability, so it is often lower than the actual traffic. For our projects, the difference is usually 3-5 times, which we regularly check with GSC/GA4.
So if the Ahrefs report shows a notional 1,000 visits, the real volume may be 3,000+. This is not a “tweak” but the limitations of the model: the tool does not see part of the “long tail”, brand variations, local and fresh queries, Discover, etc.
Please keep this assumption in mind when reading the figures: Ahrefs is rather conservative.
For clarity, let’s display the traffic volume data in a pie-shaped pie chart to see who is taking a big bite out of it.

In this section, we compare the total search traffic of all 20 players for 2024 and 2025.
“Total traffic” is all conversions from Google for any search query: both branded (e.g., “credit 365”, “iute credit”) and general (“online credit”, “credit pe card”, “ credit online moldova”,“coredit chisinau“, “credit nebancar “, etc.).
The indicator reflects the overall scale of a site’s visibility in search and covers all key destinations and pages for which users find the clinic on Google.

Branded traffic is search queries that mention the name of a company, brand or domain.

Queries contain the name of a brand. The user heard somewhere, saw an advertisement, noticed a sign or a recommendation, and then decided to clarify the details in Google search.
100% branded traffic to the site – indicates that the site is ranking poorly in Google search and is hardly visible, the site is not getting traffic on users’ “key queries”.

Microinvest.md controls about 39% of the sector’s total turnover of 1.21 billion lei in 2025, showing that the market remains concentrated in the hands of large players.
Overall dynamics in terms of traffic growth
There is a positive trend, 16 out of 25 sites showed growth in 2025 in terms of traffic to the site. The average growth for the niche was about +24%.

According to Ahrefs data, the overall search demand for credit topics (using the query “credit online” as an example) remains stable, the last 3 years the peak is in March around 1200 queries per month.
Non-branded traffic is the main indicator of SEO results
Showing how much a site is able to attract new audiences from Google searches, not just bring back existing customers by company name. In 2025, 12 out of 25 companies in the niche receive organic traffic.
The leaders are: microinvest.md – 2007 transitions, credit365.md – 942, mogo.m d – 592.
About 17 sites in the microcredit niche attract most of their traffic – more than 90% of transitions are made using branded queries (“yute credit”, “easy credit”, “credit praim”, “credit sebo”, “forza credit”, etc.).
Their growth is largely due to brand recognition rather than the results of systematic SEO optimization.
The online loan market in Moldova remains highly concentrated:
three companies(Microinvest.md, Ecredit365.md, mogo .md) control more than half of all organic traffic (≈58%).
Competition on “commercial keys”
Request “Сeredit online ” – the banking sector confidently holds the first position.
Micb.md (600, 36.6%), maib.md (300, 16.7%) microfinance organizations follow with a noticeable lag. The total share of banks exceeds 60% of traffic on this key.
“Credit pecard ” – Micb.md (37.7%) is the undisputed leader.
“Credit Chisinau ” – credit.md is the clear leader here, holding a share of (33%)
“Coredit doar cu buletinul ” – banks are back at the top, intercepting (71.6%), creditprime.md retains (10.5%), the remaining (17.9%) is shared by other microfinance organizations.
“Loan“ bank Micb.md – 33.3% confident leader, Maib.md – 10.9% the second most visible bank that actively develops the “loans” section Despite the smaller share, Maib stably holds in the top 5 SERPs.
